Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team led by Dr Adya Prasad Pandey as the Chairperson visited Eastern Christian College (ECC) in Padumpukhuri, Dimapur on February 11 and 12.
The team interacted with the College Management, Principal, IQAC, HoDs, Teaching and non-teaching staff, Parent-Teacher Association, Students' Union, Alumni Association, NCC and the various Cells and Committees.
According to a press release from the College, the peer team assessed the infrastructure of the College including the classrooms, library, staff room, women's hostel, students’ common room, girls' common room, multipurpose hall, college campus, créche, medical infirmary etc.
Others in the NAAC peer team included former Vice Chancellor, Manipur University, Dr Aravind Joshi, Registrar, KK Sanskrit University, Nagpur, Maharashtra as Member Co-ordinator and Dr Rakesh Rao, Principal, B P Brahmbhatt Arts and M H Guru Commerce College, Unjha, Gujarat as member.
A cultural programme in honor of the visiting NAAC Peer Team was also held on February 11.
In the exit meeting concluded on February 12, ECC Principal gave the welcome note followed by NAAC Peer Team Chairperson's address after which the report was handed over to the Principal. Vote of thanks was delivered by the IQAC coordinator.
