Visit Craftscape-The Naga Craft Portfolio and meet Naga artisans at work at the 2nd World War Museum arena.

Go through a Konyak gunsmith from Longwa village, who demonstrates the process of gun making at the Craftscape in this Hornbill Festival 2021.

Konyak Nagas are considered ‘expert gunsmiths.’ The origin of this craft culture is obscure and probably the knowledge has existed with the community for a long time.

Apart from forging a wide range of agricultural tools and implements such as hoes, daos, spear heads and knives, they make muzzle loading guns and pistols. The guns and pistols are loaded with gun powder and fired with lethal results. Their skills in the craft are amply deployed when firing up of their guns during dance performances.

Organized by Tribal Weave and sponsored by tourism department, the Craftscape open from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM daily.
