Naga Council Dimapur condemns NSCN/GPRN (Akato) group

Kohima, December 21 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has condemned the “barbaric act” of NSCN/GPRN (Akato) group which allegedly “abducted and meted out physical brutal assault” to four innocent Naga youths, including a student without any reason or provocation, viz, Tenyenlo Kemp, Pechysinlo Kemp, Lipok Jamir and Inaho Chophy.

NCD Vice President (Admn), Holuto Aye and General Secretary LK Peter Anal in a condemnation letter appealed to the law enforcing agencies and police to arrest the culprits and award befitting punishment to the cadres involved according to law of the land.

Further, NCD appealed to the Government law enforcement to flush out all the cadres of Naga National Factional Groups from in and around Dimapur particularly during this festive season. “Government should also see that Ceasefire Ground Rules are strictly adhered to by all Naga Political groups,” NCD stated.

Meanwhile, it said, “NCD lends its full support, cooperation and solidarity to the victims while fighting for justice and their rights.”
