Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The Naga Hoho is dismayed that as if crimes from Nagas individuals aren’t enough, the extent of crimes from anti-social elements from “different communities” are increasing and becoming ‘unbearable.’ The apex Naga organization stated today that all Naga citizens and organizations make a stand and curb the menace. “It is undeniably fact that Dimapur has become a safe haven for all forms of anti-social elements from different communities which is becoming unbearable. Let the initiatives of Naga Council Dimapur be a stepping stone for every individual and organization and further appeal to all faithful citizens to join the clarion call towards curbing such menace from our society,” the Naga Hoho said.
The organization expressed support for the recent “people’s campaign against anti-social activities.” The organization issued a brief press release today, appended by Nikhrolo Khalo, assistant general secretary. The ‘hoho’ lamented the increasing anti-social activities such as extortion, kidnappings and rape in the Nagas’ society. “This menace has become a matter of serious issue for every walk of life which could be eliminated only through concerted effort and mass participation,” the Naga Hoho press release said.
