DIMAPUR, AUGUST 2 (MExN): The Naga Hoho today appreciated the Centre and NSCN (IM) for holding Indo-Naga political dialogue in Dimapur on July 31, “making it a landmark event in the history of Nagas cry for self-determination. Naga Hoho also welcomes the extension of cease-fire between the two entities for indefinite period subject to ‘progress of the political negotiation’.” “Nevertheless, the media and the general public seems to be confused over the interpretation of truce extension for ‘indefinite’ which has become the catchy word to mislead the public”, a statement issued today said. “In this regard, the Naga Hoho is unequivocally clear that every Indo-Naga political dialogue have to be more crucial and both the entities should prepare to accept the abrogation of cease-fire as and when there is no substantive talk basing on the fact that hereafter the progress of political negotiations must precede the extension of cease-fire. We further appeal both GOI and NSCN (IM) to hold more dialogue in Nagaland in future.”
