Kohima, November 19 (MExN): The Naga Kuotsu Union (NKU) is all set to celebrate its golden jubilee (1970-2020) under the theme, ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow : One Family’ on November 28 at Naga Kuotsu House, Kuozhüzou, Kohima at 11:00am.
According to a press statement issued from Kedoutsolhi Wetsah Kuotsu, Convenor, Publicity & Momento Committee, Rev. Fr. Neisalhuou Kuotsu, Vicar General, Kohima Diocese will dedicate the monolith and offer thanksgiving prayer. Leo Kuostu will unveil the monolith and seek God’s blessings while the jubilee message and release of jubilee souvenir will be done by Rev. Dr. Visor Kuotsu.
The day’s highlights also include the presidential address to be delivered by Er Neisivilie Lhuosa Kuotsu, President, NKU; reports on Secretary, Finance Committee will be delivered; and installation of new team of office bearers will be announced by the Nomination Committee. Special songs and a jubilee feast will also mark the day.
5 elders from each village have been invited to attend the celebration. A sum of Rs. 10 per head will be realised as membership fee for the tenure 2016 to 2020. Meanwhile, the Phesama Kuotsu Union will take charge of the jubilee feast arrangements, while the Kohima Village Kuotsu Union has been entrusted for the seating arrangement.
