Naga language must be originated from its own roots or say, based on one of the tribes or local language. For me I prefer either Ao, Angami or Chang Language to be the basis of Naga language. It may be too late for us but it's right time when we think about new generation of the Nagas, after all what we do today is all for the sake of the youngsters. A day is coming soon, if we continue to go by todays way of speaking, when a Bangali guy will say, " Naga aru Bangali tu eaki asetu na, kile koile khuri tu khuri, pani tu pani pule amakhan sophe koiase tuna". That time some Naga boys and girls will say, "yes", which is the vanishing point of Naga identity. But some wise Boys and Girls of the time will curse us saying, "our forefathers have ruined our foundation, we don't have even our own language". I don't want to bear such condemnation from our sons and daughters, if you are with me then come on let us form Naga language committee. My first idea would be to say,' counting of numbers from 1-10. Here some two or three numbers may differ but the rest resembling, like Nyi, Any, Ana, Khenie etc for 2. Nga, Punga, Ngou, Pongou etc for 5. Coming to materials, let us first use the materials used and accustomed by our ancestors like fire and stone etc. Mi, Ami etc for fire, of course we the Konyak called mostly 'Vun'. Why should we then call it joi? Likewise long, along, yong etc for stone, because it would be very strange for the Nagas to adopt and call ‘Pathur’ for stone.
