KOHIMA, January 3: A grand looking “Naga Warrior Statue” in the sprawling lawn of the Raj Bhavan Kohima which is yet to get finishing touch for dedication on the Indian Republic Day, January 26, 2014 has gradually drawn appreciations and commendations from various media persons and other visitors.
The idea of keeping this unique “Naga Warrior Statue” at the sprawling lawn of Raj Bhavan Kohima is none other than from that of Chandak AK, the gracious wife of Nagaland Governor Dr Ashwani Kumar. “I think the uniqueness of the Nagas should be seen in the Kohima Raj Bhavan too,” visibly happy lady wife of the Governor shared while showing the “Naga Warrior Statue” to the media persons who came for attending a book releasing function in the Bhavan today.
The “Unique Statue of Naga Warrior” has been sculpted by artist Robert Jami. This statue is going to be a “symbolic tribute” to the people of Nagaland. The media persons also thanked to the Wife of Nagaland Governor for her wonderful and thoughtful idea of making this.
