WHO has donated 150 oxygen concentrator to Health & Family Welfare on May 22. Dr Shila Longkumer, CMO WHO handed over the donation to Principal Director, Dr Niekhrielie Khimiao on behalf of WHO. Principal Director expressed his gratitude for the good gesture and generous contribution to the department especially in these times of pandemic when Oxygen concentrator is much needed. He also wished well to WHO and extended his acknowledgement on behalf of the department, stated a press release from IEC Bureau, DH&FW Kohima.

Tizit town under Mon district wears a deserted look amid the lockdown on May 22. DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS has informed that the total lockdown in Mon district with all the earlier directives will continue to remain operative till May 31. Any person violating this order will be liable to be prosecuted against as per the relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act 2005, besides actions under Section 188 of IPC and other legal provisions as applicable.
