DIMAPUR, JANUARY 22 (MExN): Nagaland recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19 and 5 new recoveries on January 22. The Health Department’s bulletin informed that the total caseload in the State now stands at 12,072. With 11,738 recoveries so far, the number of active cases in the State now stands at 104. The number of deaths remains unchanged at 78. The 2 new cases detected on Friday include 1 each from the armed forces and 1 returnee.
4,480 health workers vaccinated
The number of health care workers vaccinated in Nagaland rose to 4,480 on January 22 with more vaccinations carried out in Kohima today. A press release from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare informed that Friday’s drive was carried out across 7 session sites in Kohima. 256 health care workers were vaccinated without any adverse events, it added. Kohima has the most number of vaccinations till date with 823 followed by Dimapur with 784 and Mokokchung with 655.
