Nagaland received recognition in horticulture, law & order, tourism during 2018. The state was awarded the “Best Horticulture State” at the 11th Global Agriculture Leadership Awards 2018. In law & order, Nagaland was awarded the “Best Performing Small State” in the category of “Law & order” by the India Today State of State’s Survey 2018. In Tourism, sector, Hornbill festival, Nagaland won the “Readers’ Choice Award for Best Festival” at the Outlook Traveller Awards in 2018. The state has also been recognized as “Best Birding Destination” for Doyang Lake at the outlook Traveller Awards in 2017. Nagaland also featured in the top ten places for bird watching at the recent listing by National Geographic.
