Nagaland on Wednesday registered 260 new COVID-19 cases which took the State’s tally to 20,795.
According to an update from State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom, out of the new cases, 117 was in Dimapur, 98 in Kohima, 15 in Mokokchung, 12 in Phek, 8 in Zunheboto, 5 in Wokha, 4 in Kiphire and 1 in Peren.
Meanwhile, it was reported that 131 patients recovered from the infection on May 26, which increased the recovery tally from 14,798 to 14,929.
As per the update, Dimapur had 26 new recoveries, Kohima had 29, Zunheboto and Kiphire had 14 recoveries each while Mokokchung had 11, Phek-7, Wokha-5, 2 each in Mon and Peren and 1 in Longleng.
The total number of active cases in the State at present is 4,923, out of which 243 are currently admitted in the COVID hospital while 4488 are under home isolation, as per the COVID-19 bulletin issued by the State Health department.
The State’s death toll also increased to 315, after 12 new deaths were registered on Wednesday. Dimapur registered 8 new deaths while Kohima and Phek reported 2 deaths respectively.
