Nagaland: 3 fresh fatalities reported, 3633 active COVID-19 cases

Dimapur, June 12 (MExN): Nagaland’s cumulative tally of COVID-19 cases reached 23,562 on Saturday after the state reported 96 new cases from seven districts.

The number of new cases detected in the state as per the district is: Kohima-38, Dimapur-26, Mokokchung-20, Tuensang-4, Zunheboto-4, Phek-2, and Mon-2. The death toll in the state also rose to 434 after 3 more deaths were reported from Dimapur in the last 24 hours, according to the health department’s daily bulletin.

Besides the COVID-19 related deaths, a total of 14 deaths categorised as ‘not COVID-19 related’ have also been reported in the state, as per the bulletin.

On the other hand, 235 patients who previously tested positive for the virus have recovered on Saturday, taking the tally of recoveries to 18,822. As of June 12, the number of active cases in the state now stands at 3,633.
