Dimapur, August 31 (MExN): PHE Commissioner Secretary, Maong Aier, IAS in a press release informed that Nagaland state has completed the coverage of Open Defecation Free status on August 31. “By next week Nagaland is expected to declare Open Defecation Free state,” Aier stated.
Meanwhile, the National consultation on Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) support operation was held at New Delhi on August 31 with all the states and development partners like World Bank, Tata Trust and UNESCO. The Union Secretary of Drinking Water P. Aiyar IAS gave an overview and summary of the support operation and the consultation with development partners was initiated by Joint Secretary SBM, Arun Baroka.
State perspectives were given by the principal secretaries of states and Nagaland was represented by Commissioner Secretary, Maong Aier and Additional Chief Engineer, Y. Tep.
