KOHIMA, DECEMBER 17 (MExN): The Nagaland State Cabinet is set to take up the matter of rationalization of reservation policy as demanded by the Core Committee on Rationalisation of Reservation Policy (CCoRoRP).
The CCoRoRP had given the State Government 72 hours to act on its demands.
On December 17, a letter from the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, KD Vizo informed the committee that their memorandum would be taken up in the cabinet meeting on December 18. In view of this, the CCoRoRP asked all its five units and volunteers to “stand down until the outcome of the cabinet meeting.” It acknowledged that the Chief Minister has fundamentally agreed to discuss the matter with his cabinet.
It meanwhile asserted that based on the outcome of the cabinet meeting, future course of action shall be initiated. The committee informed the people that it is “not intended to be a part of the problem but meaningfully intends to be a part of the rationale solution.”
“However, in the event wherein favourable situation is not created, we are equally capable of making much louder noise which we trust would be avoided under any circumstances,” it added.
