Nagaland COVID 19: 2 new cases, 11 recoveries

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 8 (MExN): Two positive cases of COVID-19 were detected in Nagaland on February 8, taking the State’s caseload to 12,160 cases. Meanwhile 11 patients were reported to have recovered from the infection on the same day. With 11,837 recoveries so far, the number of active cases in the State is now 84. The new cases on Monday include 1 each from Dimapur and Kohima while the 11 recoveries include 9 from Kohima, and 1 each from Dimapur and Tuensang. 

The Health Department meanwhile informed that a total of 102 health workers and 336 frontline workers were vaccinated across the State of Nagaland on February 8. A press release from the State Immunisation Officer, Dr Ritu Thurr said that total number of vaccinated persons in the State is now 6,771. 

Till date, a total of 380 frontline workers apart from health care workers have been vaccinated without any adverse events that needed medical intervention, it was added.
