Nagaland COVID-19:  77 new cases, 160 recoveries

After a surge in COVID-19 cases over the past few months, Nagaland on Sunday recorded 77 new COVID-19 cases. This is the lowest single-day spike after the State recorded 55 cases on April 26 this year. 

The new cases were reported from Kohima (20), Dimapur (17), Zunheboto (17), Mokokchung (10), Phek (7), 2 each in Peren and Tuensang and 1 each in Wokha and Mon.

The State also reported 160 recoveries on June 6 with 101 in Dimapur, 18 Kohima, 13 Zunheboto, 9 Phek, 8 Tuensang, 4 Mokokchung, 3 Wokha, 2 each in Longleng and Peren.

According to the COVID-19 bulletin issued by the State health department, Nagaland registered 22773 positive cases till date, out of which, 16974 have recovered. The total number of active cases at present is 4732 out of which, 175 are currently admitted in COVID hospitals while 4289 are under home isolation, as per the bulletin.

The death count has also increased to 412 on Sunday with 4 more deaths registered on June 6.
