Nagaland: District wise report on COVID-19 lockdown 

Kohima, March 28 (MExN): A total of 100 people violated the lockdown or curfew orders in Nagaland as of March 27, according to a status report of the government. 

 

Accordingly, three persons were bound under U/S 106/107/CrPc while 27 people were arrested during the first 3-day. A vehicle was also seized seized and one case of FIR registered. No incidents of Law & Order problem have been reported.

 

According to a DIPR report, the Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland Abhijit Sinha IAS gave the status report on Law and order and facilitation of essential Goods and services Manufacturing, Distribution and E-commerce of the state of Nagaland on March 28.

 

He said that control room to monitor essential supplies was setup in all the districts and shops for food grains and groceries are open in all the districts and shops for milk are also open in all the districts except Peren, Mon, Phek, and Kiphire.

 

 Medicine shops in the districts are open and there is no report of any shortage of food grains, groceries, milk and medicine in the state, Sinha was further quoted as saying.

 

On essential services, manufacturing distribution & E-commerce has reported that in Dimapur District suitable arrangement have been made for providing food &shelter to migrant workers affected by COVID-19 restriction, he added.

 

 In Dimapur Bengali Samaj, Sikh Community distributed food packets. Permits have also been issued to Commercial Vehicles for transportation of essential commodities in Dimapur, Kohima and Mon.
