Kohima, December 12 (MExN): The District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA) under Nagaland State Legal Service Authority (NSLSA) observed the International Human Rights Day at various quarters on December 10.
Wokha DLSA, Panel Lawyer Advocate, Gracy Ezung created awareness on 'Significance of Human Rights Day' and spoke on various social welfare schemes and Rights of Women. During the occasion, legal pamphlets were also distributed to the participants. The Kohima DLSA in collaboration with All India Radio (AIR), Kohima held a talk show wherein Nagali Shohe and Tongpangnungshi panel lawyers Kohima DLSA gave awareness on basic human rights, importance, who are entitled. They also deliberated on topics related to human rights basing on 2020 human rights day theme "Recover better - stand up for human rights". Mokokchung DLSA conducted legal awareness with Women Ministry, Artang Ward, Mokokchung. Limanungsang Jamir, Retainer Lawyer, Mokokchung DLSA delivered the keynote address and explained the services rendered by the Legal Services Authority. Purkumzuk from Social Welfare Department as the resource person explained all the welfare schemes under the department. Mapujungla Pongen, Project Assistant Mokokchung DLSA talked on National Food Security Act and Fundamental Duties.
