Nagaland Education Project prog held in Phek 

Phek, November 18 (MExN): A programme on community awareness and sensitization was organized by the Nagaland Education Project–The Lighthouse Nagaland Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources (NECTAR) at Town Hall, Phek on November 17.

Deputy Commissioner Phek, Razouvolie Dozo, NCS stated that quality education is a must for everyone to lead a good life and urged the teaching community to give their best, stated a DIPR report. Dozo said that Nagaland is known for the concept of communitization throughout the country for which he urged the school management authority to work together and work out ways for the school children. He said that the society is still lagging behind in many ways where he stated that proxy/bogus teachers need to be identified. Dozo also appealed to the teachers to do their best and added that they are the right persons to motivate the students. 

The aims, objectives and components of the project were given by Deputy Project Director, NEP-The lighthouse NECTAR, Avelu Ruho. Presentation on community ownership, investment and collective management was delivered by the Programme Monitoring Unit (PMU) team. A discussion among the teachers was also held where DEO was the facilitator and conclusion remark was given by Himing.
