Nagaland Governor for resolution through dialogue

Concerned by people’s hardship due to non-functioning of government offices and non-disbursement of salaries  

Kohima, February 7 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland State PB Acharya had discussions on the present situation with the Chief Minister TR Zeliang and his cabinet colleagues and urged them to resolve the crisis through dialogue, stated a press note from the Raj Bhavan today.  

He also appealed to all the NGOs, Tribal Hohos, NTAC and civil organizations to work for an amicable solution through dialogue.  

Today the Governor also invited the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and said that the “tripartite agreement on 30th January was a positive step.”  

Further, according to the press note, he urged the NBCC officials led by General Secretary Dr. Zelhou Keyho to “continue the efforts to restore peace as people are facing hardship due to non-functioning of government offices and even salaries are not disbursed.”
