Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton today said that the State Government will be sitting on December 3 to discuss matter relating to job reservation issue.
Patton told this to media persons on the sideline of opening two way route of four-lane Sanuoru Bridge along Nagaland secretariat road here on November 30.
On being asked on the demand of ENSF and its call for agitation, Patton informed that the chief secretary has appealed them to postpone or withdraw their agitation “till we meet on December 3.”
He said that necessary decision will be taken up only after December 3.
Repair, maintenance of Dist and ADC HQ roads
Patton said that the road repairing works of the district HQs and ADC HQs in the state will be taken up immediately.
He informed that government has keep provision of Rs. 50 crore for repair and maintenance of the district HQs and ADC HQs roads.
Patton informed that the entire district HQs and ADC HQs roads are now under urban development and no longer with the roads and bridges department.
Deputy Chief Minister said that the decision to extend funds for repair and maintenance of the district HQs and ADC HQs roads was taken two months back by the state cabinet.
When contacted, Nagaland’s Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Advisor Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire said that three districts- Kohima, Mokokchung and Dimapur have not be been included this time.
He said the rest of the districts have been given fund “so the work will be started at the earliest.”
