Nagaland, land of most corrupt and disparity under NPF-DAN government

Whether one like it or not but without fear or prejudice, it is essential to keep on highlighting the   issue of corruption, the dreaded social disease always for creating general awareness of the people lest our society shall perish altogether under its affliction.

To be precise, different governments had come and gone since the inception of Nagaland statehood and undeniably, no government has ever fulfilled the desired aspirations of its people nor fully delivered its promises and commitments towards its people when in power. No government was corruption-free, accountable, transparent, perfect and clean as far as the truth is concerned.

But now, owing to acute misery and painful reality of life of the common people in the present situation, a pertinent question that possessed in the minds of the general public is – under which government, corruption, scam, abuse of power, misgovernance, omission and commission rampant misuse and blatant diversion of public funds has crossed all limits and rather, become the normal system of practices, a pride, privilege and way of life. In this connection, if consent and approval is permitted then, all irrespective of party affiliation’s ones belongs to would unanimously declare that NPF-DAN government is the most corrupt and the worst so far in the living history of Nagaland, a joint loud and clear voice to vein out their anger.

Thus, if we look at the present prevalent situation in the state, we found the following we found the following creation of social exploitations and its dangerous and destructive impact transformations that have taken place in our society of today. It is in the eyes and knowledge of the general public that during 10 years in power by the NPF-DAN party, most of its ministers, parliamentary secretaries including the chief minister have become filthy rich who are now a millionaire or crorepatti while at the same time, their children, kits and kins too have become super contractors and suppliers in the state. As a result of which, now one can even buy away one whole ward or colony in the capital town of Kohima or commercial hub town of Dimapur if one wishes to. Therefore, when the public funds meant for development of the state and circulation within the society are always being completely accumulated away or diverted away for private investment in Kohima, Dimapur or elsewhere in other parts of the country, where is the viable chance of our society’s existence? So, in such a disparity situation, certainly there cannot be room for the required level of human resources development too to bring in progress and prosperity in the state.

Another unprecedented trend set-forth during 10 years of NPF-DAN party ruling the state is that it has widened the chasm of haves and have-nots or in other words, rich and poor and thereby, divided it to its present fullest abnormal form. Under it, only the rich in particular that forms a faction of society’s population are getting richer while the poor which is consisting of more than 95% of society’s population are becoming poorer day by day. Henceforth, in such an inequality atmosphere and circumstances that prevailed, the principles of natural justice is out of question. As such, time is not far of when the entire society shall be at the mercy of those elite rich class for the survival, an attribute of the NPF-DAN government landing our society in this sorry state of affairs. And now, the consequences impatiently glares at us and our generation with gloom and doom future in stored.

Therefore, it is high time for one and all to decide whether the present trend should continue or change is required for the sake of humanity.
