Health officials during the launch of AHSA Connect app held at the IDSP Conference Hall of the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare in Kohima on April 24.
Kohima, April 25 (MExN): The National Health Mission (NHM), under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, on April 24 launched the ‘ASHA Connect’ application aimed at improving efficiency, transparency and accountability in the functioning of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) across the state.
The web-based application was launched at the IDSP Conference Hall of the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare in Kohima.
According to officials, the ASHA Connect app is designed to streamline incentive disbursement and strengthen performance monitoring of ASHA workers statewide.
The implementation of the platform is expected to significantly reduce delays in incentive payments, improve transparency in financial transactions, and enhance monitoring of ASHA activities. It will also ensure the availability of accurate real-time data, thereby strengthening accountability at all levels of the health system.
The programme was chaired by Dr Keveduyi Theyo, Mission Director, NHM, while a brief overview of the application was presented by Dr Thomas Keppen, Deputy Director, NHM.
The app was officially launched by Anoop Khinchi, Commissioner and Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department.
The event concluded with remarks by Dr Mereninla Senlem, Principal Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, who highlighted the significance of digital interventions in improving healthcare delivery and governance.
