Dimapur, February 23 (MExN): Nagaland legislators met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 23.

During the meeting, a request for special allocation for the Trans Nagaland Highway, known as the Foothill road was reportedly placed.

Advisor IT, Science and Technology, NRE, Mmhonlumo Kikon informed about the meeting through a tweet on Tuesday. “Had the wonderful opportunity of meeting the Hon Union Finance Minister @nsitharaman with my colleagues! Among other things requested for special allocation for the Trans Nagaland Highway. I thank her for listening to our collective voice,” Kikon wrote.

Meanwhile, Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Higher Education & Tribal Affairs Nagaland also took to Twitter to inform about the meeting.

“We requested her for the Trans Nagaland Highway allotment as well as discussed the policies for NEP of North Eastern States & Farmers Producing Organization for Nagaland. I am thankful to respected Smti. Nirmala Ji for listening to our concerns & for alloting her precious time,” he tweeted.
