Nagaland logs 55 new COVID-19 cases

Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): A total of 55 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Nagaland on Monday, taking the cumulative tally of positive cases to 13,238. The state now has 727 active cases.

Out of the new cases, 38 are said to be from Dimapur, 9 from Kohima, 3 each from Mokokchung and Mon and 1 each from Kiphire and Longleng. On the other hand, a total of 3 patients—2 from Phek and 1 from Tuensang, who previously tested positive for the virus, have recovered. The total number of recovered cases in the state now stands at 12,135. 

As per the daily bulletin issued by the health department’s Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, 46 of the new cases were detected from traced contacts while 9 were from returnees/travellers. In terms of severity of active cases, 636 cases are said to be asymptomatic, 67 are mild symptomatic, 11 are ‘moderate on oxygen,’ 11 are ‘severe on oxygen,’ and 2 are on ventilator.
