Nagaland logs 70 new COVID cases,  one more death

Dimapur, September 18 (MExN): The cumulative tally of COVID-19 cases in Nagaland rose to 30,840 with the confirmation of 60 new cases on Saturday.

As per the daily bulletin issued by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance, the new cases were reported from Dimapur (20), Kohima (12), Phek (5), Mokokchung (1), Peren (1) and Tuensang (1).

The state also reported one more death in Dimapur in the last 24 hours, taking the total COVID-19 death toll to 639. A total of 14 other deaths were categorised as ‘Non COVID deaths (with COVID positivity)’ in the bulletin. 

On the other hand, 37 patients who had previously tested positive for the virus, recovered on Saturday, taking the number of such cases to 28,752. 

With this, the state currently has 491 active cases, out of which 382 are asymptomatic, 78 are mild symptomatic, 8 are moderate symptomatic on oxygen, 13 have severe symptoms and are on oxygen support, 4 are in the ICU without ventilator support, and 6 are in the ICU on ventilator.
