Training for newly promoted DSE officials
Kohima, August 1 (MExN): Two-day training cum interactive session for the newly promoted officials at the Directorate of School Education, Kohima got underway here today. The resource persons are G. Kevishe Pucho, retired Additional Secretary to the Government of Nagaland and Andrew, Under Secretary to the Government of Nagaland. Topics being covered in the training include pension rules, leave rules, Dak management, Nagaland Service and Conduct Rules etc. Razouseyi Vese, Additional Director, School Education addressed the inaugural function. The training will conclude on August 2.
TSUD emergency presidential meeting
Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) emergency presidential meeting will be held on August 2, 4:00 pm at TUD Complex. Therefore, all the constituent units’ presidents have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.
CNC urges for thanksgiving prayer service on August 3
Hebron, August 1 (MExN): On behalf of the program committee for the August 3 Framework Agreement Commemoration Day, the General Secretary of Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC), Rev. Seksim Kasar has informed all the NSCN members, Army units, Commanders, Regions and CAOs to hold thanksgiving prayer service in their respective headquarters and places on August 3 in commemoration of the Framework Agreement signed between India and NSCN. Rev. Kasar in a press release also requested all “nation loving citizens” to hold thanksgiving prayer service on the same day for the same reason in their own respective places and churches. Meanwhile, NSCN members who are living in and around Dimapur and Peren districts were requested to attend the service at CHQ Church, Hebron. Service starts at 9:00 am. “It’s time for the Nagas to pray for India so that they may receive double fold blessing and courage to solve the issue early. It’s time for us to pray for our own people so that we all may come and live together as a nation before God and the world,” the release added.
Businesses under KMC asked to paint shops
Kohima, August 1 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming Independence Day, all the business establishments/ shops within Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) jurisdiction have been directed to white wash/ paint the front side of their respective shop on or before August 11. The directive was issued by KMC Administrator Elizabeth Ngully.
Friendship Day celebration in Dimapur
Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): Leo Club of Dimapur is organising Friendship Day celebration at the Lions Club Park in Midland, Dimapur on August 5 from 1:00 pm onwards. A press release from PRO of Leo Club, Pravin Jain informed that there will be special performances by renowned artists from all over the North East and live band performance. NCSU Phek unit, PWA condole
Phek, August 1 (MExN): The Phek district unit of Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has expressed shock at the demise of its “comrade” Chosanyi Rose on July 30. “Late Chosanyi Rose had made huge contributions as a senior member during his association with us. He was a source of inspiration and guidance,” the unit stated in a message issued by President Kuzhosheyi Soho Alex. It further prayed that God will give solace and comfort to his near and dear ones. The Phüsachodümi Wrestling Association (PWA) also mourned the demise of Chosanyi Rose, who hailed from Phüsachodii village and served as president of Chakhesang Wrestling Association for two terms. PWA president Rudasa Cürhah in a condolence message acknowledged his immense contribution towards the excellence of Chakhesang wrestlers in different platforms. The Association prayed to Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
