Governor to done Rs 1 lakh to CM’s Relief Fund
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 6 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, PB Acharya has announced a contribution of Rs One Lakh from his salary towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund in aid of people affected by the monsoon disaster in the state. A press note from the Governor’s PRO appealed to the people of the state to donate generously towards the fund; stand in solidarity with the affected people; and be part of the effort to support them in this hour of crisis. Earlier, Acharya, through the Assam Rifles, had arranged for essential commodities like rice, dal, refined oil, sugar, tinned milk and tea leaves to be distributed to the needy at Kiphire district. The essential commodities were received by the district administration on August 5 and will be distributed amongst the neediest, the PRO informed.
DEO informs on scholarship
Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): District Education Officer has informed all students; both government and private schools to apply for pre-matric minority scholarship on or before September 30. Also, those schools without NSP registration may also apply for the same at the earliest, a release from R Amongla Jamir, DEO said. DoSE on Praveen Course interview
Kohima, August 6 (MExN): Directorate of School Education, Nagaland has informed intending candidates who have applied for undergoing “Praveen course” at Government Hindi Institute, Dimapur for the session 2018-19 that the oral interview will be conducted on August 13, 11:00 am. It will be conducted at the conference Hall of Director of School Education, Kohima, Wonthungo Tsopoe, Director informed in a press release. The candidates have been directed to produce all original documents at the time of interview.
Laparoscopic operation camp
Impur, August 6 (MExN): A laparoscopic operation camp will be conducted by the Indian Medical Association (Nagaland branch) at Impur Christian Hospital, Impur on August 23 & 24, it was informed in a press release from the Chairman, Dr. Sashimeren Aier. “Both surgical and gynaegological operations will be done through a number of specialists from Nagaland without any cost of operation,” the release further informed. YUD to host Medümneo at Dimapur

NSBSG informs on final Basic Course
Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides(NSBSG), State Headquarters Training team has informed that it is going to conduct the 2nd and final Basic Course for Scout Master and Guide Captain for the year 2018. The tentative dates for the course will be from September 11- 17, a release said.
