Pungro orgs to repair roads from Aug 27
Kiphire, August 23 (MExN): The Pungro sub- divisional organizations under the initiative of Public Forum Pungro Sub-Division (PFPSD) along with the GBs Union, YTC, PACSU, YBA, Timber Union and business community will be carrying out road repairing from Kiphire to Pungro headquarters from August 27. Tsong’s K Yim in a release stated that PFPSD President S Kiusumew Yimchungru said the road repairing will be carried out “for plying of NST bus night super from Kiphire to Pungro.” PFPSD have further welcomed free will donations from organizations, individuals and well wishers for the “common lucrative of the society and people as well.”
Kohima Police arrest ILP defaulters
Kohima, August 23 (MExN): Kohima Police during routine check on Inner Line Permit (ILP) arrested 25 ILP defaulters from various locations in Kohima district. The ILP defaulters were deported after observing legal formalities, PRO, Kohima Police informed. In another incident, the Mobile Unit of Kohima Police recovered 16 cases of IMFL from 10 Mile, Zhadima and arrested two persons. A case, in this connection, has been registered under 44 NLTP Act and the items along with the arrested persons were forwarded to court.
Vajpayeee's ashes reach Nagaland
Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Nagaland State BJP Unit brought the urn containing ashes of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from New Delhi to Nagaland today. BJP State President Temjen Imna Along received the urn from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home minister Rajnath Singh on August 22 morning at the BJP headquarters, New Delhi, a press reelase from Sentimeren, General Secretary informed. Party workers led by Dimapur District President, L Bendang Ao and State Yuva Morcha President, Benjamin Yepthomi received the urn at Dimapur Airport from the party president. It was brought to the BJP Party Office at Super Market in a huge procession where a brief prayer program was held, the release also informed.
