GPRN/NSCN condoles
Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has mourned the untimely demise of Heshito Yeptho from Kikheyi village on October 26 after a prolong illness at Dimapur. In a condolence message, GPRN/NSCN through its MIP described him as an amiable and dedicated national worker and conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

Kohima, October 27 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council has informed that it will be undertaking repair works at all the footbridges from October 29. Pedestrians are therefore informed that the footbridges would be closed till such time repair works are completed.
Mini Hornbill at Peren
Peren, October 27 (MExN): Chega Gadi/Lamsimngi Mini Hornbill cum Naga King chilly festival 2018 will be held from October 29 to 31 at Peren. The event will be hosted by Advisor, Water Resource Department, Namri Nchang, DIPR, Peren informed. Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Riowill be the special guest on the inaugural day along with Advisor Tourism, Art & Culture H Khehovi Yepthomi and Advisor Rural Development Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire.
Phek Dept of LMCP conducts awareness prog
Phek, October 27 (MExN): The Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection (LMCP), Phek conducted Consumer Awareness Programme at Baptist Mission High School, Phek Village on October 26 with Shiekhozo, Assistant Controller, LMCP Phek as the main speaker. He spoke about the Rights of the consumers with reference to Consumer Protection Act 1986. The programme was chaired by Atsole. Tshewe-u invoked God’s blessing, while special number was presented by School choir. P. Shyam Prou, HM of BMHS, Phek village gave a concluding remark and the programme ended with benediction from Veidai Prou.
Refreshers training on TDS for DDOs on Oct 30
Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The Commissioner of State Taxes will be conducting a Refreshers Training on Deduction of Tax at Source (TDS) for DDOs of all Departments on October 30 at the Training Hall of the Office of the Commissioner of State Taxes, Nagaland, Dimapur from 11:00 am onwards. A notice issued by Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, Commissioner of State Taxes has requested the DDOs of all the Departments responsible for TDS under their Department to attend the training without fail. Any Department that has attended the earlier refresher’s training on TDS may not attend unless required. Further, all Departments have been informed to nominate one Nodal Officer for future correspondence with regard to TDS and the details of the nodal officer- Name, Designation, Department, Mobile No. and email ID to be submitted to the undersigned via e-mail at cotgon@rediffmail.com.
