CVYS notifies ban on hunting, fishing

Dimapur, February 22 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Village Youth Society (CVYS) has notified all the residents around Chümoukedima village that activities like hunting and jungle burning are strictly banned in the village area. “Possession of any type of guns shall be ceased,” CVYS office stated in a press release.  It also stated that, “if defaulters are found in the act of igniting wildfires during hunting and cultivation,” CVYS will impose penalty ‘amounting to Rs 1 lakh as per the customary law and standing resolutions with immediate effect from February 19.’ The society further notified that other illegal activities like. “fishing, picnic, unauthorized door to door business without legal papers, collection of wood, gazing of herds without tenancy card, partying, littering waste, breaking bottles in the river side, loitering after 8:00 pm without genuine reasons,” are strictly banned. 

Chümou businesses asked to renew trade licenses

Dimapur, February 22 (MExN): All business establishments under the Chümoukedima Town Council have been directed to renew their trade licenses or apply for fresh registration from March 1 to May 31.  In a press release on Monday, the CTC Administrator directed the business establishments to renew/register their trade license as per the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001. Defaulter(s) will be strictly dealt with as per the provision of law, the release stated.

Skill training for unemployed women from March 8

Dimapur, February 22 (MExN): The Dorcas Weaving Training Centre Khaibung in collaboration with Runway Nagaland will be organising ‘Swavalamban Kausal Unnayan Programme (Skill Training Programme on Traditional Jewellery Making)’ for unemployed women from March 8. The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) sponsored programme will be conducted at the Kuki Baptist Association Centre, Khaibung village under Dimapur district, a press release informed. KVC inducts new office bearers 

Kohima, February 22 (MExN): A new team of Kohima Village Council office bearers for the term 2022-2025 have been inducted to look after the wellbeing of the village. According to a press release from the KVC publicity/press secretary on Monday, the team will be headed by Helievio Solo as Chairperson, Zeneizo Rutsa as Vice-Chairperson, Vizonyü Kelio as General Secretary, Thejao Sekhose as Publicity/Press Secretary, Neisalie Yhome as Treasurer, Vitseituo Pienyü as Property Secretary, Meselhoulie Rame and Dieselhoulie Sachü as Joint Secretaries.
