DEO Peren informs
Peren, May 22 (MExN): The office of the District Education Officer, Peren, has requested all beneficiaries who have applied for the Pre-Matric Scholarship for minority students in both government and private institutions in Peren district to collect their scholarships from their respective schools on or before May 31. A press release from L. Toshimenla Imchen, Deputy District Education Officer, Peren informed the beneficiaries to submit a photocopy of their 2013 result in order to receive the scholarship. Imchen also requested the head of institutions who were yet to collect scholarships to collect it by May 24. The office will not entertain any beneficiaries after the expiry of the last date, the DEO informed. 

AR apprehends one cadre
Longleng, May 22 (MExN): 31 Assam Rifles on May 21 apprehended one GPRN/NSCN cadre from PPC Ward (B), Longleng Town. A press release from the PRO identified the cadre as Captain Shonsang Phom (35 years). The AR team also recovered one .22 Pistol with 21 rounds of different callibre, one country made bomb and other incriminating documents. The apprehended cadre was handed over to Longleng Police Station.

Combined destruction of liquor and drugs
DIMAPUR, May 22 (MExN): In pursuance to the orders of the Commissioner of Excise and Prohibition, Nagaland, vide order Nos. EX/NC-33/89 dated May 19 and EX/5/10/05 dated May 22, there will be a combined destruction of Liquor and Drugs on May 26 at 11 am in the Excise Directorate Complex, Dimapur. A press release from K. Y. Sangtam, Superintendent of Excise and Prohibition, informed and asked all the representatives of the Board and concern departments/agencies to attend the same.

LS Election Kohima officials informed
Kohima, May 22 (DIPR): The Sector Magistrates/Officers/Master trainers/Micro Observers/Videographers/Counting Supervisors and Counting Assistants engaged during the conduct of Lok Sabha Election in respect of Kohima district have been informed to collect the remuneration/honorarium from DC & DEO Office (Election Branch) between May 26-30.

Zunheboto Sadar monthly ASHA meeting held 
Zunheboto, May 22 (MExN): The monthly ASHA meeting for Zunheboto Sadar was held on May 20 at CMO Office, Zunheboto. The ASHA's were briefed about the importance of maintaining monthly reports and VHND. They were also reminded to maintained ASHA diary properly. During the meeting they were encourage to work hard for the community and bring about positive change. ASHA uniforms, HB sticks and Uri - sticks were distributed during the meeting.
