
The public of Mopong Hongkong range initiated mass social work to ‘repair’ the dire road condition of PWD Road stretching from Border Road to Zero Point Yei village covering 17 kms on November 9. A press release from by L Kholee President MHSU stated that after the clearance of road side jungle, the filling and maintenance of the road conditions will be carried out within November with freewill contributions and services. Works have been allocated village-wise to be managed by respective village council.
Advance diagnostic equipment namely Differential Hematology Analyzer and Semi-Automated Clinical Chemistry Analyzer along with online UPS system have been donated by Dritu Enterprise to Community Health Centre Meluri. It was formally launched by Dr Khriezotuo Paphino, Chief Medical Officer, Phek on November 9. The launching programme was attended by Official from Dritu Enterprise, ADC & EAC Meluri, representative from Pochury Hoho, Meluri village Council, Meluri Youth Organization, HCMC, Officers & staff of Meluri CHC.
A one-day Orientation and Sensitisation on COVID-19 for 40 Heads of School under Ahthibung Block was conducted at the Educational Block Resource Centre (EBRC) Ahthibung on November 9. During the event, a brief introduction of NEP, The Lighthouse Project (NECTAR) was delivered by the Coordinator EBRC Ahthibung while roles, responsibilities of teachers in classroom situation, and coping with COVID-19 were delivered by Puilambalie Ndang, ToT, and Neikholhing, ToT respectively. The Coordinator also called upon the school heads to actively follow the COVID-19 protocols and be vigilant regarding the health of students.
