CM to launch online ILP module today

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio will launch the online ILP module for all the categories of ILP applicants, developed by the Directorate of Information Technology & Communication in consultation with the Home Department on December 16 at 10:00 AM in the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, Kohima.

CWUD annual session on December 15

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): The Chesezumi Welfare Union Dimapur (CWUD) is set to organize its annual session at the residence of Apoi Nyekha, outgoing Chairman CWUD, at Naga United Village in Dimapur on December 15 at 10:00 am. The event will witness a short formal session, followed by feast and volleyball matches among its citizens residing in Dimapur. The union has invited all its members, in-laws, and well wishers to bless the event with their presence. 

DBSU selects new team

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): The Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union (DBSU) convened its general convention on December 12 at Rotary Club, Dimapur in the presence of Chief-Advisor KK Paul, Advisor; Neena Dutta; Jual Acharjee and Legal Advisor, Sudip Narayan Dutta. A new team of office bearers was selected under the leadership of Raja Debnath as President for one more year by consent of the house. Pintu M Ghosh prominent social worker of Nagaland was selected as new Advisor of DBSU.

Finance Department notifies

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): The Nagaland Finance Department has issued a notification, December 10, stating that in conformity with the special provision conferred by Article 371A (1) (a) (iv) of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Nagaland has notified the implementation of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI Act, 2002) in Nagaland with effect from the date of this notification. In so far as the sale of secured assets taken over by the banks and financing institutions is concerned, it can be sold only to indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland in accordance with provisions of the Nagaland Land and Revenue Regulations (Amendment) Act, 2002.

KMC informs

Kohima, December 13 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed all ward panchayats under Kohima municipality that Brahma Kumaris Kohima Branch is organizing an ‘Angel Peace Rally’ on December 15 from Sokhriezie Park, T Khel Market, BOC area at 10:30 am and will culminate at Ura Academy, Kohima. In this connection, all ward panchayat chairmen have been requested to send three representatives each from their respective wards to the programme.

KSU to observe golden jubilee on Dec 18 

Phek, December 13 (MExN): The Kutisu Students’ Union (KSU) is set to celebrate its golden jubilee under the theme ‘Ignite a Brighter Future’ at Government Middle School ground, Kutisu Village on December 18 with MLA, Kuzholuzo Nienu as the special guest and 1st Class Contractor, Visasilelie Kense as the guest of honour. A press release issued by KSU President, Chineyi Soho informed that the jubilee celebration would include curtain raiser by the special guest, dedicatory prayer to be offered by Rev Velavoyi Keyho, salutation note to be tendered by Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) President, Vetho Vadeo, release of jubilee souvenir, jubilee feast, jubilee vaganza nite etc.

NNF Mon visits injured victims of Mon violence

MON, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): The Nagaland NGOs Forum (NNF) Mon unit paid a visit to the injured victims of the December 4 and 5 violence. The forum met with Dr Hoito Sema, Medical Superintendent of Mon district hospital, where the some of the injured are being treated. A press release from the forum informed that it also provided financial assistance to the injured. “We pray for their fast recovery and also convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved families,” it added.

Pork, beef rates enhanced in Kohima

Kohima, December 13 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) informed that the rate of pork and beef has been enhanced from Rs 250 to Rs 280 and Rs 240 to Rs 280 per kilogram respectively in Kohima town with effect from December 11. In an order, the KMC stated that butchers should maintain cleanliness and hygiene, update trade license and maintain proper shop signboard. It further directed that no butcher shops shall sell pork and beef beyond the fixed price of Rs 280 per kg.
