Consultative meet on Trans Nagaland Expressway on February 5

Dimapur, February 1 (MExN): A consultative meeting with all the elected members of the 11 tribes that attended the January 30 meeting on the issue of the Foothills Road (now christened as Trans Nagaland Expressway) is scheduled to be held  on February 5, 11:00 am at Hotel Japfü, Kohima.

Informing this in a press release on Monday, the Nagaland Foothills Road Co-ordination Committee (NFHRCC) has requested all the MLAs of the 11 Naga Tribes and the tribal hohos to attend the proposed meeting positively.

CPO convenes emergency executive council meet

Kohima, February 1 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has convened an emergency executive council meeting on February 9 at 10:00 am at Chokri Ba under Rihuba village.

All area presidents and executive members, all VCCs, Head GBs and Town Head GBs, presidents and general secretaries of frontal organisations (Chakhesang Mothers’ Association, Chakhesang Youth Front and Chakhesang Students’ Union) have been asked to compulsorily attend the said meeting.

Members failing to attend the said meeting shall be viewed seriously, according to CPO president Mikha Kenye and general secretary Veduvo Rhakho.

PHN mourns 

Kohima, February 1 (MExN): The Poumai Hoho Nagaland (PHN) has mourned the demise of Nagaland Chief Secretary Temjen Toy on January 28. In a condolence message received here on Monday, the PHN stated that he was an efficiently and abled administrator and rendered his selfless service for the welfare of the state in many areas. “His demise was a great loss for the state and has created a vacuum that is difficult to be filled,” it stated while conveying deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
