NPF Phek div reassert support
Phek, May 5 (MExN): The Naga People's Front (NPF) Phek Division and the NPF COBs from Phek Division held its co-ordination meeting in the NPF Central Office, Kohima on May 5. A press release from the NPF Phek Division Press Secretary Vekhopra Khamu stated that the division resolved to support the NPF Party under the leadership of Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, President, NPF and Kuzholuzo Nienu, Leader of the NPF Legislature Wing.
NPF CEC meeting on May 12
Kohima, May 5 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front President, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu has convened an emergency meeting of the Central Executive Council (CEC) on May 12 at 11:00 am in the NPF Central Office, Kohima. Therefore, all the members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
Cucumber festival on May 11 & 12
Aliba, May 5 (MExN): Cucumber Festival 2022 will be held at Aliba Village, Mokokchung on May 11 and 12. Various exhibits/events such as off-season organic cucumbers, ethnic cuisines (Ayimchu, Pongsen, KongshiaMayong etc.), Nagaland’s biggest log drum, farmer-scientist interactions, angling at Dzuvi valley etc. will be conducted. Exhibitors including cucumber farmers, ATMA Mokokchung, Horticulture Department, Agriculture Department, DRDA and SHGs will be taking part in the event.
JKYPPA appoints district units
Dimapur, May 5 (MExN): The Jan Kalyankari yojana Pracahar Prashan Abhiyan (JKYPPA) has appointed the district units for Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Zunheboto on May 4. A press note stated that the meeting deliberated on creating awareness of the central sponsored scheme at the district levels, the main focus being on the free sewing machine scheme that is to be implemented in all the districts of the states. The Nagaland state President, JKYPPA, Philip Chadiseb called upon all the districts which is yet to register into the yojana to get in touch with the state General Secretary, Zakietuo Noudi (8147597131), Zhovi (7628977142) and Asa Bukh (9615657231) for setting up the district units at the earliest.
