CM condoles 

KOHIMA, JULY 28 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed condolences following the passing of Alienba Jamir, father of A. Pangjung Jamir, the MLA of 21 Tuli Assembly Constituency, on July 28. In his statement, Chief Minister Rio described Jamir as a God-fearing man, recognized for his generosity, strong work ethic, and exemplary life. Mr. Jamir served the State Government with sincerity and diligence, earning respect for his dedication and selflessness in aiding those in need without any reservations. "During this time of grief, may you find comfort in the cherished memories and the legacy he leaves behind," Rio said. "My family joins me in conveying our deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and may Almighty God give you solace and strength to bear the irreparable loss."

 

Deputy CM Patton mourn  

Kohima, July 28 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton mourned the demise of late Alienba Jamir, (95), father of Pangjung Jamir, MLA & Advisor, who passed away at Asangma village on July 28. The loss of a parent is one of life's most challenging experiences, he stated in his condolence message received here. “I stand with you in this time of loss. May you all find strength in this time of grief and may the soul of the departed find eternal rest in peace,” Patton stated in a condolence message to Pangjung Jamir.
 

Unidentified body found in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, JULY 28 (AP): Police in Dimapur discovered an unidentified female body early Saturday in the Marwaripatti/Station Road area, according to a press release from the Dimapur Police. The body, believed to be that of a woman aged 40 to 45, was found around 4 a.m. Authorities conducted an inquest at the scene and learned from sources that the deceased may have been homeless and a beggar. The body was transported to the District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for a post-mortem examination and identification.
The woman was wearing a grey top with white prints, a white muffler with blue stripes, and multi-colored long pants. Police are asking anyone with information about the deceased to contact the Women Police Station in Dimapur at 7085055027.
