Holotoli School in Dimapur sealed 

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): Holotoli School in Padumpukhuri, Dimapur has been sealed in order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DDMA, Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS on Friday stated that the school will be sealed from the date of issue of this order, during which time necessary sanitization of the premises shall be done by the management. Any person violating these containment measures will be penalized under the provision of Disaster Management Act besides legal action under Section-188 of the IPC, the DC added. 

JCPI consultative meeting cancelled 

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): JCPI consultative meeting with the leaders of all Naga tribal apex bodies scheduled to be held on April 23 at Kohima is kept on abeyance until further notice. JCPI Media Cell informed that it was decided during an emergency on April 21 and keeping in mind the worsening scenario of the COVID-19 pandemic. JCPI expressed regret any inconvenience caused.

Two drug peddlers arrested in Peren 

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): Security Forces in a joint operation with state police apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered 740 SP tablets, 100 bottles of cough syrup, one motor cycle and one Mobile phone from Mhainamitsi, Peren on April 21. A press release from the HQ IGAR (N) stated that the apprehended individuals along with the recovered items were handed over to Jalukie Police Station for further investigation. 

One dead body recovered

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): One unidentified dead body of a non-Naga male (approx 45-50 yrs) was recovered from Dimapur Railway tract towards Dimapur-Khatkhati end. A press release from ADCP (CRIME) / PRO, Dimapur stated that pn completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital for PM examination and identification. The deceased was wearing beige color long pant, light green t-shirt and blue slipper. Claimant for the dead body or relatives and friends are requested to contact Officer-in-Charge, Government Railway Police Station (GRPS), it stated.
