KOCC cancels social work related activity
Kohima, April 20 (MExN): The management of Keep Our City Clean (KOCC) informed that due to the second wave of COVID-19 which is increasing every day, the social work related activity have been cancelled indefinitely with immediate effect. In between, KOCC will continue the cleanliness campaign and awareness by undertaking activities which will not include social gathering. KOCC convenor Khriehuzo Lohe requested all the well wishers to support the venture all the times.
Mass social work in Chen town
Mon, April 20 (MExN): With the initiative of MLA, CL John and his wife a mass social work was conducted for all the departments of Chen Hq. on April 19 at Chen town. There was cleaning of all the Government Offices and Government staff quarters premises, clearing of drainage and weed from the road side. In a short meeting after social work, the MLA said called upon the Government servants to set an example to the public to keep the environment clean and maintain good hygiene. He also explained the duty and functions of all the departments and encouraged them to serve the public at their best. He expressed his happiness over the cooperation and unity among the departments.
Skill training in Mon underway
Mon, April 20 (MExN): Skill training for rural employment was organised by Global Concepts Nagaland (GCN) in collaboration with the Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (NKVIB) at Town Council Hall, Mon on April 20. Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS stressed on the importance of self-reliance and called upon the participants not to attend the training just to receive certificates but for their livelihoods. The DC requested the banks to grant loans to genuine people to enable them to start their ventures. Chief Consultant, Vikas Rao highlighted on the objective of the workshop and stated that the workshop was to help participants establish business and skill development. Four venues have been selected for the skill training workshop: food processing at Mon Town Council Hall, carpentry at DRDA Hall, beekeeping at NPF conference hall and toilet & laundry soap making at KU conference hall.
