UCO Bank Diphupar sealed

Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, DC and Chairman DDMA, Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, has ordered the sealing of UCO Bank, Diphupar, with immediate effect during which time necessary sanitization of the premises will be done by the management. The DC Dimapur said that any person violating the containment measures will be penalized as per the provisions of Sec 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.

Agri & Allied Department meeting venue changed

Kohima, April 27 (MExN): The AHoDs & HoDs of the Agri & Allied Departments are informed that the venue of the meeting scheduled on April 28 at 11:00 am has been shifted from APC’s Conference Hall to Secretariat Conference Hall.

Cleanliness drive in Wokha on April 20

Wokha, April 27 (MExN): Tsumang 'B' Colony (below local ground sector) and Eco Club Wokha in collaboration with Lolo Ezung (YouTube) supported by Lotha Students' Union will organise a cleanliness drive at Local Ground Wokha on April 20 starting from 8:00 am. “Public gathering places like Local ground Wokha are pileup with plastic bottles and many non-biodegradable elements where it is an urge to every responsible citizen to keep public gathering places to keep clean,” a press release from Yisanbemo Humtsoe, Organisers stated. While inviting like-minded citizen to participate in the cleanliness drive, the Organisers also said that any person having a travel history after April 15 may not participate for safety of the community.

Moatsümong festival cancelled

Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): Foothill Ao Lanur Telogjem, Dimapur has announced the cancellation of Moatsümong festival on May 1 due to the increase and overwhelming concerns about COVID-I9. However, the organizers have informed that the raffle will be drawn on that day and made known through daily local papers.

BJYM Dimapur holds ‘plasma cum blood donation’ day

Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Dimapur District team led by its President, Chitenlemba Imsong held ‘plasma cum blood donation’ day on April 27. It was held as a token of love and support for the needy and Covid effected people in collaborating with the State BJYM team under the leadership of Nagaland State BJYM President Benjamin Yepthomi, said Bendangliba Lkr, General Secretary, BJYM, Dimapur District. It also announced that they will be part of the nationwide Covid Core Committee of BJP and will launch a helpline very soon for Plasma and Blood donation as well as other initiatives and assistance for Covid Helpline, which the public can avail.

Visitors restricted at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Complex

Kohima, April 27 (MExN): In view of the recent surge in COV1D-19 cases in the state and in the interest of public safety, the Home Department has informed that the entry of visitors in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Complex shall be restricted and will be regulated in the following manner:
All the employees should have valid ID Card which they should display/produce to the checking staff while entering the Secretariat. All employees within the establishment are advised not to entertain outsiders/visitors and to follow precautionary measures at all times of wearing mask, regular washing of hands and maintaining social/physical distancing to ensure general safety.
Apart from the Nodal Officers, Officers and Staff from the Directorates/Districts on official duty may enter the Secretariat after obtaining due permission from the concerned officer in the Secretariat not below the rank of Under Secretary. Any other visitors in exceptional cases will require permission of the Home Department (SAB 'A') for entry in the Secretariat.
“This Order shall come into immediate effect till further orders,” a report from the DIPR stated.
