
NNC (Parent Body) conveys Christmas greetings
Dimapur, December 21 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) on December 21 extended greetings to all Nagas, the North-East people and the Christians everywhere the joyous season of Christmas.
“May the Living God Almighty bless us all,” conveyed the message from Yilow Humtsoe, Acting President NCC (Parent Body).
“Also, I on behalf of the NNC (Parent Body) must appeal to all the Naga people in particular and the Northeast people to stand firmly and unitedly together at this crucial stage of struggle and hardship for our rights and justice,” it said.
“At this crisis the Nagas and the North-East people are being supported even at the international level, therefore, we must fight to the end for our legitimate rights. May the good Lord bless and help the Northeast people to be victorious,” it added.
NDPP extends Christmas greetings
Kohima, December 21 (MExN): The NDPP today extended its Christmas greetings to the people of Nagaland and called upon the people to reflect upon the message of Love, Joy and Peace and come together as a people, united in Christ.
“As we prepare our hearts to celebrate and worship the birth of our Lordand Saviour Jesus Christ, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party brings warm Christmas greetings to the people of Nagaland,” conveyed a press release from NDPP Media & Communication Committee.
While the entire State is still coming to terms with the “unimaginable tragedy” of December 4, it also called for the time of reflection and coming together as a people, united in Christ.
“May we take this blessed time to re-strengthen our faith in God Almighty, our belief in humanity and our unity as a people!... We wish everyone a very blessed Christmas with hope and prayers for a promising New Year!” it added.
The NDPP, meanwhile, extended its welcome and support to the resolutions unanimously passed at the 10th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on December 20.
It further urged the all-party United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to carry “forward the resolutions’ passed so as to fulfil the clarion call of the people for ‘Justice’ and the immediate repeal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, 1958.”
NNC (PB) Lotha Region condemns
Wokha, December 21 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) Wokha Region today condemned killing of 13 civilians on December 4 by security forces and another in Mon on December 5, as well as injuries to many other during the incidents.
Though India proclaims itself as the “highest democratic ruler,” the Indian armed forces has “killed more than one hundred thousands of Nagas,” alleged a statement from Ekyimthung Patton, President NNC (PB), Wokha Region, citing the Oting incident as another instance. One day India may “vanish” if it continues to “wage war” against innocent people, it added.
