Kohima police seizes illegal ganja
Kohima, March 15 (MExN): A team of Kohima police from South Police Station during routine surveillance duty at Paramedical Junction intercepted a Mahindra Scorpio bearing registration No. AS06F 0498 around 10:00 am on March 15. Upon checking of the vehicle, 20 packets of contraband ganja wrapped in black coloured polythene sheet was found concealed inside the vehicle, an update from PRO DEF, Kohima stated. The contraband ganja weighing approximately 200 kg along with the vehicle, were accordingly seized and the driver of the vehicle identified as Silastin (30 yrs), P/S- Tadubi, Senapati, Manipur was also arrested. In this connection, a regular case under the NDPS Act has been registered for further investigation, the Kohima police added.
PAC sitting deferred
Kohima, March 15 (MExN): Commissioner & Secretary NLA, Dr PJ Antony has informed that, KT Sukhalu, Advisor School Education and the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Nagaland Legislative Assembly has decided that the sitting of the Public Accounts Committee, 2021- 2022, scheduled for March 17, 18 and 19 has been deferred to April 20, 21 and 22. The other details will be communicated in due course. Members of the Committee and the Officers of the different Departments have been requested to kindly take note of the change.
DC Wokha notifies
Wokha, March 15 (MExN): In continuation to the notification of Deputy Commissioner, Wokha regarding the assessment of damage compensation of the structures likely to be effected along the project stretch (KM 72.40 to KM 83.00) under Wokha village jurisdiction, it will continue from March 17 at 9:00 am. Therefore, all concerned landowners and GBs of Wokha village have been requested to be present on the schedule date. They are also requested to co-ordinate and extend cooperation to the survey team.
