Niki Sumi-led NSCN (K) terminates one 

Dimapur, March 19 (MExN): The Niki Sumi-led NSCN (K) has announced the “termination of Major Neli Chakhesang aka 'N.Naga' from active military service, People's Army of Nagaland (PAN) on being found guilty of insubordination and dereliction of duties.” A press release from Kilonser, MIP, NSCN/GPRN, Nikato Pilot Sumi informed that the “termination Ahza” was issued by the Collective leadership and military authorities.

NNC GDRN (N/A) informs 

Dimapur, March 19 (MExN): The NNC GDRN (N/A) will be celebrating its 65th Republic day on March 22 at Oking. A press release issued by NNC GDRN (N/A) MIP Kilonser, George Konyak has requested “all the ranks and files of both civil and army” to attend the function positively and to be present at the venue by 9.30am. 

DSW, Security forces & NGOs join hands for drug free campaign 

Kohima, March 19 (MExN): To spread awareness on drug menace and to motivate troops to stay away from drugs, the 64 Inf BN TA (H&H) Naga alongwith ARK Foundation, NUN Foundation and Department of Social Welfare, Govt of Nagaland organised a seminar at Zakhama Military Station on March 18. The seminar on ‘Substance Use Prevention, Its Ill Effects & Treatment’ was part of the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug Free India) campaign launched by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India, a press release from PRO (Def) Kohima informed.  Col Neera jSood, SC, Commanding Officer of the Battalion in his keynote address emphasised on sharing and discussing the issues related to drug abuse and seeking support from peers, it said. A team of experts including Regimental Medical Officer, Counsellor, Social Worker & field workers have delivered talks and motivation lectures at the seminar, it added.  The team also answered queries on drug abuse and prevention from the attendees.
