DMC informs on trade license renewal
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): All traders and business establishments/shopkeepers under Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) jurisdiction are informed that the last date for renewal of DMC trade license for the year 2021 is March 31. Therefore, DMC administrator, Albert Ezung has informed all concerned to renew their respective trade license on or before March 31 to avoid late fine.
DMC revises wholesale rate of fish
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has revised the wholesale rate of fish as on February 23, 2021. The revised rate are as follows: Rohu below 1.5 kg -Rs 140 per kg; Rohu 1.5 kg to 2 kg - Rs 170 per kg; Rohu above 2 kg - Rs 210 per kg; Katla below 2 kg - Rs 190 per kg; Katla 2 kg to 5 kg - Rs 220 per kg; Katla above 5 kg - Rs 350 per kg; Pankaj below 2 kg - Rs 130 per kg; Pankaj above 2 kg - Rs 135 per kg; Roopchanda - Rs 135 per kg; Barari below 2 kg - Rs 250 per kg; Barari above 2 kg - Rs 300 per kg; Kuchiya (Eel) - Rs 350 per kg; Prawn - Rs 550 per kg; and Thailand Magur- Rs 170 per kg. Retailers have been given maximum profit of Rs 20 per kg on wholesale rate.
NPF mourns
Kohima, March 1 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has mourned the demise of Hokiye Yepthomi, husband of Helena Yepthomi, General Secretary of Central Woman Wing who passed away March 1 at Dimapur. “We deeply mourn his demise and convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray that Almighty God grant solace and comfort at this hour of distress. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” the party conveyed.
RASU general meet on March 13
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): The Ralan Area Student’s Union (RASU) has informed that there will be a consultative/conclave RASU general meeting on March 13 at Lotha Hoho Ki, Dimapur at 10:00 am. Therefore, all the constituent units, Ralan Area Lotha Hoho, Ralan Range Union Dimapur, Ralan Area Eloe Hoho, village councils within Ralan Area Chairman Association, Ralan Area Lotha Hoho, Wokha, senior leaders, advisors and elders are informed to attend the meeting without fail.
One unidentified dead body found
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): One unidentified dead body of a non-Naga (male/25-30 yrs approx) was recovered at Dimapur Railway track near 254/4 Kms towards RXR Rangapahar on March 1. The Dimapur police in a press release informed that the cause of death is suspected to be run over by a moving train. All legal formalities was conducted the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination/identification. Claimant/relatives/friends of the deceased are requested to contact Officer-in-Charge, GRPS, Dimapur.
NSCN (IM) UT fasting on March 5
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): The national workers of Union Territory (UT), NSCN (IM) will observe prayer and fasting programme on March 5 at Showuba Village Baptist Church at 7:00 am. Therefore, all national workers of UT (RSI to Kilonser) are informed to attend the program positively.
Dimapur Excise arrest one with illegal liquor
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): The Excise mobile squad duty party manning Chümoukedima Excise Check gate seized 420 bottles of assorted liquor concealed in airbags from a vehicle on February 26. An update from the department informed that during routine checking of vehicles around 8:30 am, the Excise personnel tried to halt a Mahindra Scorpio bearing reg. no. NL0035 but “the driver paid no heed to the command of the duty party and tried to escape the checking.” The duty party chased the vehicle and apprehended it near Jharpani. On checking the vehicle, the duty party found 420 bottles of assorted liquor concealed in airbags. The accused namely Bensolemla Chang a resident of High School area Kohima was arrested and the articles seized, the update stated. Both the accused and the seized items were handed over to higher authority for further investigation. Consequently, the accused has been charged under relevant section of the NUR Act and the seized articles are deposited in the Malkhana, K Toshiho Yeptho, Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition (MS), Dimapur informed. The duty party consists of AIE Imonen, Yanren, Supong, Hotoshe, Among, Manshen, Lilan, Alichum, Hito and Alo.
