Kohima Police informs on unclaimed body

Kohima, March 28 (MExN): A non-Naga male who was under medical treatment at NHAK since March 26 reportedly passed away on March 28. Kohima Police PRO informed that the body is unclaimed and therefore kept at South Police Station morgue.  The person has been identified as Pusal, aged around 49 years while physical description was stated as slim build with dark complexion. Any person, relative or community member known to the deceased have been informed to contact South Police Station, Kohima (7005986019) for more information.

NSCN (IM) condoles 

Dimapur, March 28 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has condoled the demise of Moatemjen Pongen, Khapur of NSCN/GPRN from Longsa village under Ao Region on March 26.  He enrolled in the Naga national service in 2014 and served the “nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise,” a condolence note from MIP, NSCN (IM) informed.  The void created by his demise would be difficult to fill in but for selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and ever be cherished by all, it said.  It further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and close friends of late Pongen and prayed that the  God would give them the strength and comfort to bear the loss.  “We pray for his spirit to rest in eternal peace,” it added. 

NSCN (IM) cadres arrested in Zunheboto

Kohima, March 28 (MExN): Security Forces in a joint operation with state police has arrested three cadres of NSCN (IM) in general area Project Colony, Zunheboto on March 26, an official release stated today.  During the joint operation based on “specific input,” an NSCN (IM) flag, Rs 19,250 in cash and “various incriminating documents” were also recovered from the cadre, the release issued by HQ IGAR (N) stated. The arrested cadres along with recoveries have been handed over to Zunheboto Police Station for further investigation, it added. 

Security Forces arrest MNPF cadre in Jharnapani

Kohima, March 28 (MExN): Security Forces in a joint operation with state police arrested a cadre of MNPF in general area Jharnapani, Dimapur on  March 25, an official release informed. A press release from HQ IGAR (N) informed that one .32mm pistol with magazine, four rounds of .32mm live ammunition and Rs 3,570 in cash were also recovered from the cadre during the operation based on “specific input.” The cadre along with recoveries has been handed over to Medziphema Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, it added.
