ASUB informs on registration
Bangalore, March 5 (MExN): The Angami Students’ Union Bangalore (ASUB) has informed that registration for the year 2021 has started for both freshers and old timers.
In this regard, it has urged parents and guardians to take the initiative to register their ward with the Union.
The Union can assist registered members in times of need whereas in case of unregistered individuals, the Union has to “cautiously take certain measures,” it added.
Further, the ASUB said that the registration fees are utilized to help the community whenever required, and added that it also pays registration fee to the Naga Students Union Bangalore, to which it is affiliated. Jungle burning, hunting restricted in Phek
Phek, March 5 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Phek Razouvolie Dozo has ordered a restriction on villages, towns, community, and group of persons or individuals from indulging in random burning of jungle/forest and has restricted all types of hunting within Phek district. The order stated that any violation shall be viewed seriously and penalized as per relevant sections of the law, a DIPR report informed.
Lions Club Dimapur to host 42nd annual district conference
Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): The Lions Club of Dimapur has informed that it will be hosting the 42nd annual district conference of the Lions District 322-D at Lions Centre on March 6 and 7 under the Chairmanship of Lion Mahesh Agarwal. Delegates from Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland will be participating in the programme, and International Director Lion Dr Nawal J Malu will grace the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest, it added.
Phek DC imposes restriction of traffic movement between Sakraba & Pholami
Kohima, March 5 (MExN): In the interest of public safety, Phek Deputy Commissioner (DC) has imposed total restriction of traffic movement between Sakraba and Pholami village area in Phek district between the chainage 20+000 to 20+500 from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am from March 5 till March 31. The restriction is necessitated to facilitate speedy completion of 2-Lane construction works of Phek-Pfutsero road, Phek DC Razouvolie Dozo stated in a circular on Friday. The general public has been advised to avoid travelling in the said stretch during the stipulated time for safety. All concerned have been asked to take note of the same for necessary action.
