NSDC directs members to comply with ethical practice
DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): The Nagaland State Dental Council (NSDC) has directed its fraternity members to render their duties in compliance with professional conduct, etiquette and ethics in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. A directive issued by the NSDC said that any non-compliance including refusal to treat COVID-19 patients, failure to report to duty, abandoning duties or tendering resignation etc., unless on the ground which predisposes the health care worker in very high-risk category upon exposure to contagion, should be liable for disciplinary action as per the rules and regulation of the Dentist Act 1948.
Mon district to observe 2-day mourning
Mon, May 17 (MExN): Following the demise of ENPO President C Sashi Naga, the Konyak Union has informed that two-day mourning from May 17 to 18 will be observed in Mon district, as a mark of respect for the departed leader. All civil society organization offices will hoist their flags at half mast and total closure of shops and public movement would be enforced, it added.
CM condoles demise of Er Vizodel Khatso
Kohima, May 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed pain over the sudden demise of Er Vizodel Khatso, Executive Engineer, Department of Art & Culture and Department of Horticulture who passed way at Naga Hospital, Kohima on May 16.
The CM in a condolence message said that late Vizodel was a dedicated, sincere and diligent officer who always gave his best in whatever work he was assigned to. He was also known as a humble and helpful person, who always looked out to help people in need and contributed much for the welfare of the society.
“Indeed his demise is a great loss to the department and the government. His positive contributions and the exemplary manner in which he carried out his given responsibilities will always be remembered,” the CM lamented.
He extended condolences to members of the bereaved family and his well-wishers and prayed that the Almighty God will grant them peace and solace at this time of sorrow and courage to bear the irreparable loss.
