Survey on progress of COVID-19 vaccination
Mon, May 25 (MExN): Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Volunteers in coordination with District Administration, Mon, started a survey on progress/extend of COVID-19 vaccination of beneficiaries of 45 years and above in Mon Town from May 25. In this regard, DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, on May 24 issued a circular requesting all Ward Task Forces, Goan Buras and the public under Mon Town to cooperate and extend assistance to the NYK volunteers during the conduct of the survey.
Changlangshu containment area order rescinded
Mon, May 25 (MExN): Taking into account the recovery of all positive cases and the subsequent negative RAT results of multiple random testing conducted, ADC, Tobu, Keyirangding Hegui, NCS, on May 25, rescinded the Order No. GA/DEV/COVID-19/2020-21/395 Dated Tobu the 1st May 2021, declaring Changlangshu Village as a Containment Area. However, the State-wide lockdown measures/protocols will continue to prevail.
Pig import to Peren dist banned
Peren, May 25 (MExN): In view of the unusual mortality of pigs due to suspected African Swine Fever being reported in Kiphire, Mon and Phek districts and in the interest of the public health and safety, DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier has informed that importing of pigs for meat and piglets for breeding purposes from outside Peren district has been banned until further notice. Violation of the order shall invite legal actions as per the relevant sections of the law.
