APC Nagaland to visit Boke-Botsa on November 7
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): Nagaland Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC), Y Kikheto Sema, IAS will be conducting a field visit to Boke-Botsa under Chiephobozou Sub-Division on November 7. This is as decided at the coordination meeting of the Agri & Allied Department and in pursuance to the decision taken to implement the Agri & Allied Settled Farming. The Agri Production Commissioner will be accompanied by a host of senior government officials from various departments.
NSCN (R) wishes Lotha community
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): The NSCN (R) has extended Tokhu Emong greetings to the Lotha community and said that the festival “signifies the end of any bitterness and settlement of all problems". A press release from the MIP of the NSCN (R) stated that it is also a "festival of gratitude," followed by preparation of scrumptious meal, folk dances and other cultural activities. Just as this festival depicts and reflects on promoting peace and brotherhood, the NSCN (R) said it is very optimistic that through this festivity, “the Lotha brothers and sisters will continue to be the frontrunners and torch bearers to usher into the new era of oneness, love and solidarity.”
KCSU forms selection committee
KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): The Kohima Chakhesang Students' Union (KCSU) has constituted a new Selection Committee Members for the new tenure of the union. A press release from General Secretary, KCSU, Khrokute Lohe informed that the committee members include Solomon Ritse as Convenor; Zaciisato Theyo, Virekhru Domeh, and Viewolo Koza as members. It informed interested individuals/candidates to contact the committee members for more information.
Longleng DPBP meeting held
LONGLENG, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): The monthly Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on November 6 at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of ADC Longleng, D Robin. The ADC requested all HODs to attend the monthly meeting without fail, and also if the HODs cannot attend in person, representative from the department who has department work knowledge should attend the meeting. A review was also held on upgrading of police post at Tamlu HQ. It further stated that any department who did not submit application for survey of land should submit the same at the DC’s office for survey report as early as possible, as directed by the Government of Nagaland. Regarding registration of P Helom Phom charitable society, the house agreed to forward the same for government registration.
